Description

Winter Family Bicycle RideAnnualEvent2012

Who made a New Year's Resolution to exercise more this year?  Well, here's your chance.  Winter Cycling will help.  It's fun and exhilarating, and the Bicycle Coalition of the Ozarks will help you learn the confidence and techniques to bicycle wherever you need to go.

Join us on a family-friendly ride.

 Two Starting points:
10-mile round-trip, departs Bike City 2:00pm
route will mostly follow Scull Creek Trail, Poplar and N Gregg.
4-mile round trip, departs Arsaga's on Gregg St, 2:30pm
route follows residential streets to Appleby, through Fiesta Square, across College at Rolling Hills light, North behind the Hobby Lobby shopping center to our turn-around point on Lee Street.
Kids' Bicycle Helmets available -- FREE!  Just show up a few minutes early at either location.
Wear warm gloves, ear covering and warm footwear.  Layers offer extra flexibility for adjusting to the weather as your body warms.  A wind-proof outer layer adds comfort during winter cycling.
From 3-4pm, at the Omni Center Turn-around point, we'll offer a scrumptious array of warm beverages and refreshments.  We'll also have informative entertaining displays of our bicycle advocacy work, and we'll be screening the "Kids on Wheels" movie--the 12-minute documentary of the first year of Bike ED in Fayetteville Public Schools.
Rain (or blizzard) date--Feb 4th, same times.
