route to Ozark Natural Foods from south Fayettevi 7 Months ago Karma: 0
For those of us intimidated by or uncomfortable with riding on College to get to Ozark Natural Foods a pleasant alternative is to find a way to Woolsey Ave just west of the Regency Hospital of NWA and cut through their grounds and cross college at the light to Evelyn Hills.

The sensor for the light is not very sensitive, so if no cars are waiting to pull out of Evelyn Hills, you may need to lay your bike down on the light activator strip to make it change.

Woolsey is super steep coming from the north, of course, but south from the Wilson Park area, it's not so bad.

Then on the way home, laden with groceries, the hospital's switchback road is a nice gradual way to gain elevation.

At present, Feb 2010, this route is blocked for construction but when that's done, it makes a pleasant way to get your ONF goodies...
